To provide clear guidance as to when it is appropriate to involve parents and carers in relation to children, young people and substance use related incidents and situations.
- Drugs and the Law - Managing Drug Related Incidents and Situations
To give guidance in line with that issued by Nottinghamshire Police on the legal position for workers who may need to handle, or come into contact with illegal substances. To give guidance on the management of prescribed or potentially dangerous substances including alcohol, tobacco, solvents, prescription and over the counter medicines.
- Workers and Personal Responsibilities
To encourage all services to adopt a tier approach for work with young people, which provides workers with clarity as to their roles and responsibility in relation to providing education, support and / or treatment.
