12. Training and Implementation of the Policy

Trends with children and young people’s substance use are continuously evolving and changing. It is therefore recommended that workers regularly update themselves by accessing appropriate training, which is available free via Nottinghamshire County Council and the Drug and Alcohol Action Team.

These training needs could be identified by Line Managers (Foster Carers consult with their Supervising Social Worker) during support and supervision.
